Harvest Flowers in the Minster

Harvest Flowers in the Minster

Sunday, 5 October is the date of Harvest Festival at the Minster and the Choirs are taking a full part in proceedings.

In the morning, the usual Parish Eucharist is replaced with an All Age Eucharist, at which the Choristers will sing John Rutter’s All things bright and beautiful during communion.  This is also the service where produce will be received to give to our local food bank.

In the evening, ahead of the ever-popular Harvest Supper, the Minster Singers will sing the monthly Choral Evensong.  This service includes the Evening Service in G by Herbert Howells, as well as music by our very own David Overton, including his Harvest anthem Sing to the Lord of harvest.  The service starts at 6.00pm and all are welcome at this service.
